Trajectory of TOLI Group’s Business
Founder Tomikichi Teranishi
The current “TOLI Corporation” was named “TOYO Linoleum” until 1991. The company was founded in 1919 as Japan’s first linoleum manufacturing and sales company. Linoleum, which was an entirely new flooring material at the time, spread rapidly with the modernization of architecture, expanding to include houses, ships, and vehicles.
With the rise of the petrochemical industry after the war, we expanded into the wallcovering and curtain markets with flooring materials made from vinyl chloride resin, fiber material carpets, etc., cultivating the foundation of a manufacturing company as a “comprehensive interior manufacturer.”
Since then, we have expanded our business to include carpet maintenance, comprehensive wholesale of interior products, and interior finishing. We have built a system that can provide total solutions related to interiors.
In recent years, we have been focusing our efforts on global environmental conservation, which is our responsibility as a manufacturing company, and we are constantly striving to create environments that enrich people’s lives.
